Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum
Located next to Dulles Airport, the National Air and Space Museum's second location is a must-visit for everyone. More than 3,000 artifacts are on display, including Space Shuttle Discovery, an SR-71 Blackbird, and an Air France Concorde.
The Museum's docents are positioned at stations around the museum, both in person and on site, to answer questions and share the stories of the Museum's collection. Visitors can also test their own piloting skills in a simulator ride, or enjoy a giant screen adventure in the Airbus IMAX Theater - showing short films that relate to the museum's collection during the day, and the latest Hollywood releases most evenings.
